Operation

Inserting a Disc

# Turn on the drive.

The drive is turned on/off automatically

when the computer is turned on/off.

$ Press the Open Button.

(The Disc Cover will open by selecting

[Eject] in the active application.)

% Open the Disc Cover.

Place a disc onto the disc spindle.

Press on the center of a disc until it locks

onto the disc spindle.

' Close the Disc Cover.

Cautions:

B Make sure the disc is securely set. (If not, the disc may come off and be

damaged.)

B When the power is off, release the Disc Cover lock using Lock Release Lever

(see p.35).

This drive has a power-open mechanism. The Disc Cover will not open when the

power is turned off.

Note:

B This drive is only compatible with non-cartridge type DVD-RAMs. To use

TYPE2 or TYPE4 DVD-RAMs, remove the discs from cartridges.
